“Pure Bija” is an album for meditation. Listen to Belightful’s® interpretation of the Bija Mantras as the mind-body settles and relaxes into the meditation. The meditation lasts 30 minutes altogether consisting of 6 minutes of mantra, 16 minutes of silence followed by the mantras gently bringing you out of your meditation.
“Bija” means seed and the Bija Mantras are one-syllable seed sounds that activate the energy of the chakras in order to purify and balance the mind and body. In Vedic tradition the Bija Matras are tools for the expansion and widening of the mind by utilizing the power of sound vibrations. They are the sounds of the chakras.
Each and every part of our body functions at a specific rhythm and pulse. When all our systems are balanced and tuned with each other we experience perfect harmony and health.
The body’s chakras or energy centers can be represented in sound which parallels the energy pattern of the chakras. These unique sounds are the Bija Mantras which were developed to create balance and harmony in the body, mind and soul by Vedic and spiritual traditions.
